The Perlina Handmade Jewellery web site was designed and is maintained by me, Gemma Wild, which means I can give it my very own personal touch and look after each and every visitor as an actual person, rather than just a "sale".

A little about me

I am a 20 something London lady who enjoys fiddling about with web sites and stringing glass beads together to make unique pieces of jewellery. When I'm not crafting away, you'll find me listening to Foo Fighters, Incubus, Jeff Buckley, Keane, Massive Attack, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Snow Patrol, Starsailor and Turin Brakes quite loudly in an attempt to deafen the neighbours!

I also have a passion for creating search engine friendly web sites and customizing templates for php scripts such as Wordpress or CubeCart. I have been described by friends as an internet nerd but I say everyone has to be good at something, right? =B

Each piece of jewellery has been lovingly hand made by me and is crafted in the hope that you will enjoy wearing it as much as I have enjoyed creating it. All pieces are exclusively available on this web site. Nothing here is mass produced so you know you are receiving something very special.

What is 'Perlina'?

Perlina is derived from the Italian word for ‘beads’. There isn’t a special meaning behind the choice of name, only that I personally find the Italian language very beautiful. Learning it is one of the many things on my personal achievements to do list, I will get there some day.
